We may only be five days into April, but I'm refusing to accept that there is still a chance of snow...Braemar, I'm looking at you š
This week has been a busy one already. I've submitted my dissertation (woop woop); I've started working three days a week; I've reached out to friends to begin some freelance marketing; and I've been keeping on top of updating the gig spreadsheet š«£. To be fair, this is somewhat similar to a normal week for me once I factor in going to the gym, seeing friends, doing uni work, and going to work. This week has been full of some mega milestones though, which is exciting!
Looking over Braemar Golf Club towards Mar Lodge and the big mountains of the Cairngorms
I was at home in Braemar when I submitted my dissertation, so I haven't been into uni to take the official dissertation pictures yet (they will be coming soon though!). Instead, I went for a lovely walk with one of my best friends, and had a good aul' catch-up.
Submitting a big piece of work like that is such a strange thing. What do I do now? I've got no coursework left to do? I put so much time into those 105 pages and now that's it. Still two weeks ahead of the deadline as well, some things never change. I'm hoping to have it published or featured somewhere, as I know a few people who have expressed interest in reading it. So, that's something, right?
It's frustrating, never feeling like you're doing enough. That's what I feel like right now. I have this section time in my diary where I would have been doing my dissertation if I wasn't so organised, and I have the temptation to immediately fill it with something else. I remind myself, and I'm reminded by others, that I don't need to. So, I'm going to try to not do that.
I say this every time, but I am going to try and make this blog a monthly brain-dump-type thing, let me know if you'd like to know about anything else - music, marketing, or otherwise, in the comments ā¬ļø
